Ok, so it seems that everyone is doing a gigantic update today, and since it’s been a while since I posted anything, I thought now would be a good time to give a basic status on the Life of Kaoru the Magnificent (I just added that last part, but I’m hoping it’ll catch on). Side note, the spellchecker on this LJ client doesn’t recognize the word “Kaoru.” Or, ironically, “spellchecker.”

So, I went to bed last night with a screaming headache and congestion like you wouldn’t believe. Which sucks, because the RP last night was awesome and I hated to leave. Classic move, Greg (you know what I’m referring to), and everybody was throwing the great lines out like the scene was written by Joss Whedon. Especially sorry the side-scene I was running had to be cut short, but somebody had to be annoying somebody else who was in the scene, causing it to drag until such time as I was having trouble keeping my eyes open from the headache, regardless of how hard I tried. Oh well, we’ll finish another time.

Today I’ve been catching up on television I missed over the week, and occasionally last season. That means I downloaded the first episode of The Knights of Prosperity, which isn’t too bad. I also took Cellshade‘s advice to check out last night’s episode of Scrubs, which was a House parody in which Dr. Cox had to deal with a series of “medical mysteries” to the point that he’s walking around with a cane about halfway through the episode. And speaking of House, I’m trying to catch up on season 2. On episode 17 right now.

I’m feeling better now, at least, and hope I’ll be ok enough to do stuff this weekend. Something. Been thinking a lot about various things in my life, considering where I am and where I want to go. Very deep for a guy taking Excedrin like airplane trail mix on an eight-hour flight. I’m considering taking a walk in a little bit to clear my head, try and start fresh for the rest of the day. Don’t think I can handle a full workout today, as much as I’d love to get into the gym and really take a long, leisurely, intense walk on the elliptical, but I can do something, and something is better than nothing.

Gotta get to memes, writing plots, and general rigmarole, which I will do sometime soon, but for now I think I need some more medication. Can’t really make this longer unless I add a list of what I got for Christmas, which I’ve likely forgotten most of as they have blended into my collection of other stuff (I use my Stuff Collection often to impress people). But I know that most of the books my mom got were in the general theme of “Arthurian legend,” which makes me happy in the dirty way that myth-geeks like me get around old texts and stories. Yes, I said “dirty way.”
